Yes, I had changed the font size to 120 dpi to improve readability of other applications at normal viewing distance. Is this the cause? The symptoms are the same, regardless of whether time shift is on or which decoder I am using.
Also, I don't see any TV channel numbers, nor can I select channels by means of the number keys on my MCE remote any more. This definitely worked at one time, but I'm not sure whether it was 2.2 release or 2.3.1 RC1.

Thanks for your quick response. Changing back to 96 dpi did indeed fix the problem. Unless I'm imagining things, however, I did get a picture with 120 dpi in previous versions of MePo, as well as with other HTPC SW I tried, such as XP MCE, JRiver MC12 and ChrisTV. Also the full-screen picture in MePo fills the screen better than I recall from before, so I don't mind leaving it that way. Oddly, I still get all of the aspect ratios available, despite having unchecked some in the setup (see previous attachment). Have I misunderstood what this is supposed to do? Also, what should I do about the channel numbers? Open another thread?

    Hi,
If those are not selected you shouldn't have them when cycling betwenn with remote or keyboard, you have to set it for all media in MP Setup & if that doesn't work we need a mediaportal.log where you try that.

btw, it is working as it should here, maybe i do this in another way

    Regards
    Roy

My bad, I was using the "info" submenu and forgot that those settings apply to the keyboard shortcut. Unfortunately, I never got this working with the MCE remote. I'm sure I could do it with Girder or HIP, but since I don't need these for anything else, I'm too lazy to install and configure them. Thanks for your help!
