If I start to watch the TV on MP shortly after the PC starts up, ok, no problems.
But later, whether I've used it successfully or not soon after PC startup, the TV part will not start.
I can look at the TV Guide, etc, but as soon as I select either Channel or TV ON the application completely freezes.
If I were to select a programme from the TV guide it also freezes.
After 5 minutes I have to Cntrl+Alt+Del to stop it.

'Stopped services' is checked to stop Media centre from taking over.
The other weird thing is that the Hauppauge TV6 software is able to start the PVR350 input with no problem.

Any suggestions anyone?
I suppose I could restart the PC every time I want to use MP, but it seems it abit of a bother...

Can you run mediaportal in debug mode, this is accessed from your Start menu, get problem to happen and then upload logs using forum advanced + feature.

Agree, is this a single pc with both tvserver and mediaportal installed, even then there are only 3 files, 2 of which relate to windows not MP.

Typically the zipped folder should contain a minimum of 15 files upwards.

I've got a quicker work-around now. In Windows 7, Type in services.msc, select the TV services, Stop it, wait a few seconds, Restart Tv services, wait a few moments, Restart MediaPortal, and TV is working again!!
Still got no idea why it 'goes to sleep' though. Anyone else, any ideas?

Well it's all working now so I don't appear to have worry about 'work arounds etc'.
How did I fix it all?
I just installed RC3 and everything ears to be ok now.
OPPs! spoke too soon, a day or so later, it still fails to start, so have to resort to Stop/Start the TV server still!
