MP won't start TV after I have watched a video through My Videos. Videos play OK after using MyTV...I've attached the logs - I have to restart the machine to make it work again, I can't watch TV on remote clients either so I think it is something to do with the TV service???

    Hmm,

Looking at your mediaportal.log indicates to me that we might be having "simular problems"....

I thought it was due to my setup running out of diskspace .. i was testing alot of recording stuff and my free diskspace was close to 0%..... But I had been watching movies during my tv recording...

    Your last lines from mediaportal.log

    2008-04-23 17:15:57.665410 [Info.][1]: HCWHelper: Shutting down

I am also getting stuck on TVHome.ViewChannelAndCheck():

At that time the media portal tv server service is runnig... So it looks like the tv client stuff thinks that everything is working but looking in the tv config binary indicates that no stream is beeing sent out..

Trying to halt the tv server services will fail (atleast with my setup) and only a reboot will fix it...

After I have tried to stop the tv server services it seems that the tv client is aware that its no longer there and now asks for the "ip address" to my tv server ..... So It actually stops the tv server to a certain extent...

    My thread is : https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/...out-diskspace-misspelled-error-message-38697/

    My last lines:

Another problem.... maybe related is that when i try to reboot my media portal tv server computer it hang on the viaccess process..... only hard reset will take care of it...

Im using the firedtv and the viaaccess is the cam for firedtv...

Did you maybe downgrade your existing system from XP to Vista?

Try to disable Idle EPG Grabbing. This causes a similar problem to me, probably one channel I selected to grab the guide for, makes the tvserver hang, If I disable EPG grabbing everything works fine.
