Scanning still broken. DVB-T UK

The first transponder is fine then either the TVSERVICE will crash or the following transponders will return 'nothing found'.

The logs attached show this from the third transponder onwards.

'Manual Control' shows the tuner as locked on 'scrambled'

Then TVSETUP becomes unresponsive and a reboot is required because the TVSERVICE will not close cleanly

That is the end of the logs because the TVSERVICE crashed.

There are NO system logs showing any problems, reverting to SVN prior to 17258 and the problem doesn't exist.

As you can see I have increased the detection delay to thirty seconds without helping.

There are NO problems with a simple clean start of the service other than the TUNER numbers are increased by three and I have to reasign channels, recording directories etc

1st time attempt at tv server - hope I have followed posting protocol - system details in profile

DVB-T UK Scanning crash +1 - same symptoms 1st transponder good sometimes crash on 2nd sometimes on 3rd - tried disabling dep and dropping to single cpu core - same problem - logs attached.

Can anyone advise a previous svn that didn't exhibit these issues?

svn 17258 last good one for my UK DVB-T

I used the tswriter.ax from 17352 with yesterday's build and it fixed the scanning problem. Haven't tried it with this build yet - everything's working so I'll probably wait until it's completely fixed in the svn.

The bad news : scanning is completely borked in this build for me. Tried to rescan the Hotbird 13 transponder that was crashing the 17368 server then continue with a full scan of Astra 28.2. The Hotbird transponders all reported "Nothing found" (although the logs seem to suggest otherwise) then the tvservice hung when it moved on to scan the first Astra transponder. Only option - kill the tvservice process. Logs and a screenshot of the scanning process attached.

The good news : when I restored the TvLibrary db created by 17368 and ran this build (so all the channel data was already there) the timeshifting / channel changing problems I had with 17368 and the new style tt drivers were completely gone. I can tune multiple clients to different transponders on each card and change channels quickly and reliably. The best I've had yet - thank you.

One minor problem : the path I set as the recording directory seems to be ignored. All recordings end up in the timeshifting directory which has not been changed from the default.

The problems with H264 channels introduced in build 17378 are solved.
There's still the scanning bug: no channels found neither with DVB-T nor DVB-S.
