Can anybody confoirm that DVB(-C) channel scanning is still broken in this version?
I haven't seen that it is is fixed in the changelog or dev note above.

DVB-T scanning still broken, even worse than previous svn's as the OS hangs requiring a reboot.

Using SVN 17258 (last relativlely stable svn) to scan and then this release for functionality.

Channel change is very slow failing on some occasions requiring tv/on/off to correct.

CPU usage is awfull , usualy have about 20% usage while recording and timeshifting it is now about 60%.

Navigating around the MYTV and sub menus is painfully slow.

Databse access for EPG and mini EPG is very slow.

The last three problems usualy indicate problems with the TV plugin. So stopping timeshifiting and exiting MP GUI and the MP.exe failed to close cleanly leaving the process still in task manager.

Killing MP.exe and the CPU usage dropped to a more reasonable 4% from above 20% for the TV service.

Another aspect (-logs1.zip) that is broken is hibernation and return from hibernation , the tv server doesn't dispose of the tuners cleanly and doesn't complete the shut down routine so when you return from hibernation the tvsevervice is unresponsive, this also requires a reboot

In my case (WinTV Nova USB-Stick) channel scanning works.
But I have to confirm that channel change requires tv/off/on when changing from one DVB-T channel to another.
Changing channels on my PVR250 works well and as fast as never before.

There´s nothing special to find in logs

    Hi gemx,

I'am afraid the PMT length problem is propagating...
The "section_length" is now the real PMT length instead of previously PMT length+header, so I've retrieved the problem when the PMT is send to CAM ( 3 last bytes are missing ! ).

It seems it doesn't particularily affect the CAM but....

I've tried to fix it in some files ( where I've found ),
    DiskRecorder.cpp
    PmtGrabber.cpp
    TvDvbChannel.cs
    DigitalEveryWhere.cs
It will be also necessary to change for other card manufacturers KNC, technotrend, twinham.

I hope this is not use in other places as TsReader..

Could you have a look globally to the problem ?

I attach at least the 4 modified files.

    Regards.

    Ambass.

Ambass, can you provide a re-compiled TsWriter.ax so I can test it quickly ?

DVB-S with FLoppyDTV-S2 is broken: "Nothing found" on all tp. Using 17383 TsWriter.ax fix the issue.

    Ambass,
i think you made a mistake.
The 3 bytes is not the header but the CRC at the end of the section !!!
Also the header is not always 3 bytes it depends on the other indicators.
Would be nice if you could upload a small sample dump of TF1 HD so i can check it.
Most parsers disable the CRC check but if it's enabled for a certain parser and the CRC is not in the section it will fail and skip that section, so your solution won't work everywhere.
The SendPMT function probably works because it doesn't do a CRC check, so it's no problem if the last 3 bytes are missing.
I will revert the change and wait for a ts dump to analyze.
But nevertheless :D very much for your efforts :)

    Hi Chemelli

Here is the new TsWriter, but be careful, it's a partial patch...

    Thanks Ambass,

I would just like to test this as for me scanning is broken since 17384 like you can see here and here.
I won't put it in my production htpc.
