Hi,

I'm having a lot of problems with the TV Service crashing when I scan for channels...

Setuptv.exe crashes and the TV service crashes as well as it prompts to start the tv service when I restart the TV Server configuration.

The error.log file shows the following:
Code:

added requirement that current user is admin

Is this something temporary or is it planned to leave it this way?

Although so far my htpc runs with an admin account on XP, I really like the current trend to make as may programs as possible runable with only user rights.

This way it would be much harder for malware authors to exploit possible errors in TV-Server like buffer overflows or things like that.

    jomed,

I believe that is during install only.

dalmer is right. The log entry is regarding the new installer. Not Mp itself ;)
