I've done a fresh install of MediaPortal (2.3.0 RC2+latest SVN) and this version of the TV server.
All seems to work fine on the server part (client and server on the same machine) but the client can't connect. I'm unable to change the servername/ip in the TV client configuration. The field stays blank.

edit: I've uninstalled the TV client and no MP crashes when entering MyTV (engine 2.0). There is no error.log at all! I'm not using the expirimental TsReader (although I've tried it, it gives the same result)

I saw it posted somewhere here in the past day or so that there was a chjange from names to ip for the server.
Apparently you need to check the gentle.config file in program files (some sub directory I can't remember) and make sure the server is correctly listed there.
