    Daylight Savings, and Duplicates.

This is actually evidence from 16029, but I see no changes logged since then about the following things, so I guess that they persist in the current version:
    1) Daylight Savings Time started here in NZ 2am Sunday 30 Sep. Programmes due to record on Sunday (set via programme guide a few days earlier) failed, and programmes an hour later got recorded instead. The PC changed to NZDST on time. I did a manual force EPG and restarted the server, which corrected the error. (Incidentally, when I entered this forum, there was a short delay and an alert saying 'updating for daylight saving'. So someone knows how to fix it!)
    2) Monday is a bad day for duplicate recordings. See log. Repeatably, the programmes 'Border Security' 7.30 'Piha Rescue' 8.00, 'Spooks' 8.30, 'Special Investigators' 9.35 are all recorded twice (but sometimes only in part). An earlier programme 'Shortland Street' at 7.00 is not duplicated. The distinguishing thing about Monday is that there are a number of back-to-back recordings. Pre-recording is set to 1min, post to 10min. I have 2 x Skystar II cards. All NZ Freeview channels are on one of 2 transponders, so from my 2 cards I should be able to record/view any combination. (Indeed, the programmes do record, but excessively so!)
    3) The server log shows errors like this:
1/10/2007 6:59:11 p.m. 8 Exception :confused:ystem.AccessViolationException: Attempted to read or write protected memory. This is often an indication that other memory is corrupt.
at System.Runtime.InteropServices.Marshal.WriteByte(IntPtr ptr, Int32 ofs, Byte val)
    at TvLibrary.Implementations.DVB.Hauppauge.SendDiseqCommand(ScanParameters parameters, DVBSChannel channel)
    at TvLibrary.Implementations.DVB.ConditionalAccess.SendDiseqcCommand(ScanParameters parameters, DVBSChannel channel)
but I don't have any Hauppage gear, and DiSeq is not configured in the card configuration.
    4) There are occasional entries in my HTPC XP Event log for .NET Runtime 2.0 error, Event Id 5000, but these are from the client, presumably. The PC hosts both TV3 and MP.
    EventType clr20r3, P1 mediaportal.exe, P2 0.2.2.9991, P3 46f841a0, P4 core, P5 0.2.2.9991, P6 46f84156, P7 ffd, P8 8, P9 system.nullreferenceexception, P10 NIL.
    5) I note that if I run the TV Server app, it causes any current recording to stop, and restart, so it appears as 2 parts in the client, even though 'TVservice' was not restarted. Should it do this? If so, should you issue a warning that a recording is in progress before proceeding? (This is not the reason for the duplicates here! I was nowhere near it at the time!)

    Regards.
    Ken

I should have clarified that I was alerted to the DST problem when I looked at the Guide today (Monday). Programmes were showing an hour later than they should have.

The problem with MySQL ("???" for Russian letters) was wonderfully solved!
    https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/russian_dvb_epg_and_channels_iso_8895-t28309.html?t=28309

Now nothing is saved at all.

And again - "no audio/video" for my analogue TVcard GOTVIEW PCI DVD2 Lite.
Only one channel is shown, others died 5 months ago.
    Really sick and tired!
    Really!

I haven't tried yet, but in previous SVN I also had new troubles with SkyStar2 - MP couldn't see most transponders it used to, when scanning.
I thought my DVBcard died, but DVBViewer Pro found everything it could.

Sorry for being rude, but could you share some knowledge with that team?!
    Or with Saar?
Strange enough, but they haven't yet tried M*SQLs or Oracle...
    Are they unprofessional?!
    I guess so.

TVE3 eats my AMD and DDR2 together with "longthinking" MP and greedy MySQL, as if I watch encrypted HDTV.
But your whole HTPC prog works much slower then other applications.

    It's really getting worse!
    I can't timeshift any more!

    Sorry!
