Changelog since last snapshot:

tsreader 25/11/2007 [12:21:14] gibman added: fixed a problem when the PMT reports audio streams that are in fact not there. In this case the next valid audio stream is automatically chosen.

Multiseat DVB TV audio broken

svn 16567 - multiseat DVB TV audio broken

On the client machine after tuning to the channel (or changing to another channel) can hear less than a second of the correct audio stream then silence. Behaviour is the same on all channels tried. Using client svn 16563 against server svn 16567 works fine.

svn 16567 - multiseat DVB radio broken

Will have time today to figure out which svn broke this.

    hi triton.
    thank u for the logs...

It is a problem with the tsreader fix.

somehow it decides that no audio packets was found and decides to recover from this situation by changing to the next audio language.

"demux:no audio found with stream index = 0, setting audio index = 1"

u have 2 or more audio tracks on that channel, right ?
If yes, then it should not be silence, isntead u should hear track 2, unles its ac3 and u have some bad setup.

For now u can use the previous tsreader.ax.

Later today I will try and attach a new tsreader.ax which runs longer before finally dertermining that audio is missing or not.

    @ gibman

You're right, audio works if there is only one audio stream. All channels with 2 audio streams fail (at least the 10 I've checked). I have no ac3 or setup issues that have affected any previous build. I presume it also works for channels that broadcast identical audio on both channels.

I have tried the 'Menu', '3 Audio language' to manually change to the correct audio stream but this fails. Should this still work?

    Thanks.

Now, I have functional audio for about 6-7 seconds before the silence (before it was just less than a second). It seems to be waiting longer before forcing the wrong stream.

In the tests I have done the first audio stream is the normal soundtrack and the second audio stream is either silent or 'audio description'. This second stream is getting played. However once it starts I am getting framerate/glitching as well.

this still occurs and makes MP unusable for me, because only shows with ac3 work, not too many here.
    pleeeease provide fix....

The tsreader audio fix has been reverted.

Just grab latest SVN (no changelog indicating this btw).
