    Hi!

I think that the problem is that xmltv grabber is returning tvguide.xml file in utf-8 encoding as opposed to before when it returned in iso-8859-2 encoding.
The header of tvguide.xml actually says that it's iso-8859-1 encoding but it's not. And if one changes encoding attribute to "utf-8" then xmltv plugin is returning error: "System not suppporting UTF-8 encoding".

There are two options to correct this situation:

    - convert TVguide.xml from utf-8 to iso-8859-2 encoding
    - developer of xmltv plugin for tvserver changes the code so that it supports utf-8 encoding

Hope it will get resolved soon 2nd way.

    Hi!

    I resolved this situation :)

Although I switched from xmltv grabber to TVxb and from http://gonix.net to http://tvprofil.net/xmltv/

    This how You do it:

    - download and install tvxb (link on tvprofil.net)
    - go to http://tvprofil.net/xmltv/?batch and mark all channels that You want to show in Guide and click on "Generate ..." button
    - you will be instructed on the next page how to set up tvxb so it downloads channel listings for the channels you selected
    - create scheduled task for it through control panel or whatever You use for scheduling under Win
    - download and install xmltv2 plugin for TVE3
    (https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/...5247p11.html?t=25247&page=11&highlight=xmltv2)
    - set it up through TVE3 server configuration (dont forget to map channels accordingly and save that mapping)

That's it TV guide yet again shows all accented characters correctly.

    Hope this helps.

Thanks for the effort but I couldn't resolve my problem.. I've tried to change encoding with a program I found with google (professional xml editor) but it's the same..

And about the second post.. I'm not using TV server, and I was wondering if maybe there is a way to do the same thing with only MP installed.. I've managed to get four different xml files, each for every chanell but I have no idea what to do next..

Thanks again for your effort ;)

As I said, You need to download and instal TVxb application.
With it You can join these files into one (TVguide.xml) with right header (utf-8) and the encoding of the file contents being the same.
But, I don't know if xmltv importer in MP is having problem importing such a file. All I know that xmltv plugin for TVE3 is not working while xmltv2 is.

If You have problem configuring TVxb send me a PM.

I didn't realized that TVxb was supposed to join all of the xml files together.. Now that you told me it worked perfectly, now I have tvguide that shows all letters correctly :D
