Hi all,

upgraded to the TV server when it first came out and had a few probs being able to search the TV guide (I normally search for films to record).

Went back to old version OK, reinstalled from scratch again (i.e. deleted everything not just remove programs) and still have problem.

Basically I click on Genre in the search screen and I get nothing back. Also cannot sort by anything other than channel - click on it but no change.

Nothing in TV server error log, but MP Error log reports:

2006-12-29 16:11:27.640625 [ERROR][MPMain]: OnMessage exception:confused:ystem.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
at TvPlugin.TvSearch.Update()
at TvPlugin.TvSearch.OnClicked(Int32 controlId, GUIControl control, ActionType actionType)
at MediaPortal.GUI.Library.GUIWindow.OnMessage(GUIMessage message)

Any ideas ?

Have browsed SQL DB and can see the Genre stuff there, seems to have changed format from the non tv server version (old version seemed to be coded information - i.e. 1 = film whereas new DB has "movie/drama(general)". Noted that some of the rows on the new DB that the genre was blank.

Any ideas ?

First post guys so hopefully got everything filled in right.

My opinion of your work ? Superb and I am exceptionally grateful for it !

Cheers
Don
