Anyone have any idea of what to try next? MPTVSeries works perfectly on the Single-Seat PC (Vista 64).
On both other Client installs every time I go into MPConfig, enable MPTVSeries and try to configure it, it locks (stops responding) and crashes MPConfig.
The two Client installs are on a notebook with Vista 32 and a high-end rig with Vista 64. Both have the same problem. On both all other areas of MP work correctly. I can connect and view live TV, movies and all recorded shows. Only MPTVSeries crashes. Actions were the same with MP1.0. Now using 2/28 SVN and the latest SVN builds of MPTVSeries and StreamedMP. Still can't get into the config section of MPTVSeries.
Re-installed about ten times on the notebook with no change.

Is there anything in the Single-Seat install that could be the culprit? It's working perfectly but I'll do drive backup and experiment if anyone has any ideas.

Hi Tamvegas, can you post your error.log, MediaPortal.log and MP-TVSeries.log please.
Here's the logs from running MP after attempting to run MP TVSeries in MP Config. This is from the Vista 32 notebook at work, without access to the SingleClient server PC. I'll be glad to run it again when I'm home and post the logs from the SingleClient as well.
    Thanks Damien

Its failing to open/create your database: \\HTPC\Data-TeamMediaportal\MediaPortal\database\TVSeriesDatabase4.db3

If you delete this (backup first), does it open the configuration? Its possibly failing because its on a network location that it does not have read/write access too.

Ideally, you should be storing your database locally. TVSeries doesnt support multi-seat.

I understand. I had changed the database to the network so that I wouldn't have to update the database on each client (I have several programs that are imported manually).

How can I edit the database4 setting without being able to get into MPTVSeries Configuration?
Once I change that in whatever xml file I need to (assuming that's what needs to be done), then later I can just copy the TVDatabase4 from the Server. And double-check the access rights as well for the file.

To change the TVSeries DB path you need to edit the following registry entry:

    KEY: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\MPTVSeries
    STRING: DBFile
Value: Full path to DB file e.g. D:\DataBase\TVSeriesDatabase4.db3

The plugin will now use that path to load the database.

BTW...having a look at your error log you also have a corrupt Moving Pictures db. Most likely as a result of sharing the DB on the network.

    Thank You Damien!!
That worked. I'll go further with it when back home, but the MPTVSeries Config is open now. This has been causing problems for a month now.

    Thanks again!!:D
