Hi All,

Just finished updating MP from version 1.0.0 to 1.0.2... Did the 'updgrade' rather than 'fresh' install. Although everything seems to have gone well otherwise, there is a problem with TVServer. I get a windows error message when I hit the OK button:

Failed to locate assembly 'Gentle.Framework, Version=1.2.9.1286, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=80b5de62e27be49b'. Note that the configuration program must be executed from/reside in the MediaPortal folder, the execution will now end.

This pops up as soon as I hit the OK button, weather I have made any changes in the TVServer config or not....

Here's what the error log reads:

2009-05-11 16:08:45.562500 [SetupTv]: Exception :confused:ystem.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not load file or assembly 'Gentle.Framework, Version=1.2.9.1286, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=80b5de62e27be49b' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.

at SetupTv.SetupTvSettingsForm.SaveAllSettings()
at SetupTv.SetupTvSettingsForm.applyButton_Click(Object sender, EventArgs e)
at SetupTv.SetupTvSettingsForm.okButton_Click(Object sender, EventArgs e)

I had to upgrade to .NET framework 3.5 before I could install 1.0.2, if that's anything to do with it...
...any ideas....??

I'm currently resisting the urge to do a clean install at the moment...

cheers
Shane

Haha ...then you've just confirmed my suspicion 8)
I tried doing a fresh install of 1.0.2 and it tested okay, no probs with TVServer. I then re-loaded BackupSetting and everything went pear shaped again.... uninstalled it and it came right.

I have since rolled back to 1.0.0 and re-loaded backupSetting, as our evenings TV show was about to start and I need it working. Planned to do another 'update' to 1.0.2 tonight without BackupSettings and see how it went... Sounds like that is indeed the problem.

So I guess there's a new BackupSettings plugin? ...will go check it out

Thanks JMB for the heads up ...much appreciated :D

Sweet ...old BackupSetting plugin confirmed as cause. Updated 1.0.0 to 1.0.2, this time without BacjupSettings plugin... and all working well. Have updated BackupSettings to the latest version and all good

thanks again JMB for your input

Which is the newest version? I have BackupSettings 1.0.0.2, and although I no longer have the Gentle.Framework error, BackupSettings seems to crap out when it gets to importing the TV channels (the rest seems to have worked OK). I'm contemplating a complete new scan for the TV database...

Is anyone seeing this error?

EDIT: I got BackupSettings import to work after running it a few times, so the TV database is back. However, I've noticed a few nigly errors since moving to MP1.0.2.
1. My webepg schedule is 4 hours out as xmltv seems to be adding +2 hours to the time offset rather than -2 hours as entered in the config. Seems xmltv is now registering my regional settings and applying a time zone compensation automatically, so I turned off the timezone adjustment in TV config and this seems to have done the trick.
2. The TV config does not show any groups under the TV channels tab even though the groups are there under TV Groups (unless this is a deliberate and different layout in 1.0.2). I re-scanned the satelite to update all channels and despite activating 'make group for each satelite' , this had no effect.
