Al the latest build I have save recordings and timeshift to c:\program files\team mediaportal\tvserver ...

Mine is set to record to:
    M:\MP timeshift (1.3 TB raid5 volume)
M:\MP Recordings (same local volume 1.3 tb raid5)

However it always records and timeshifts in the tvserver folder.. ??
It only worked with the build from 8-3-2008 .. after that everything goes always to program files..
even in tvserver it says the M: location ..
    it gets totally ignored ?

Maybe tvserver cant handle such a big number in free space anymore ?

Please have a look .. I now have a morning scheduled batch file scheduled that moves *.ts to m:\time_rec_unsorted to keep things a bit clean ..

    Hi,
Works as it should here, try to re-configure where it should record in TV Setup & then test & attach logs to your post.

    Regards
    Roy

    Roy,

Did reconfigure, did even change drive letters.. made a folder without a space in it..

it still always records to C:\program files\....

Checked all the logfiles, (only tv server as I run it standalone)..
There is NOTHING in the logs that says I changed the file location ..
only when starting timeshifting it says : Set location to c:\program files\blablabla ..
Logs are useless for this problem ..

It will not accept my changes in the settings..

Next what I am gonna try is to set the location to another folder on C: drive.. and see if that gets accepted..
If it does.. I could subst the location for the drive I actually want to use..

what I also can try is to use another drive.. but a smaller partition .. below 1 TB.. and see what happens then ..

Ill keep you updated.. and question .. how big is your drive you are using for timeshift and recording ???

what I also noticed was that with the 8-3 version .. it actually made a folder name with the programname and mediaportal put the files in there for that program ..
now everything just gets dumped into the tvserver program folder without creating folder names.. messy ;)

    Hi,
Bit weird that you can't use another folder, because tested here on 3 different comps & it works there. Even if you doesn't see anything in the logs there might be something for developers in there......

Again .. the question .. how big in size are those drives you are using ??
Because I still think mediaportal cant handle drives over 1.1 TB .... that is what I think is the problem because then the size is 1 digit more then is programmed for but only a developer could check that....

The only time i have seen this problem, was when someone reported being in a user not admin account, which found this effect.

If you manually put this into sql config, will it retain the setting.

i get the same thing. I will only record to program files, not the folder I have specified for it to go to.

    I'm running Rev18279 (03-26-2008--05-05)

My OS drive doesn't have much space, so i'd rather record to my dedicated recording drive
