Since I've installed a MySQL database (I think but I'm not shure) for my HTPC System, the TV server service can't start within the 30s timeout allowed by XP (error in event log). The service start fine with a net start tvservice command line and TV is shown in mediaportal client and mysql server is started about 1mn before.

There is no TV Server log for initial service startup.

Someone got an idea ?

Sometimes when you install new software, especially software that installs new services on your computer, it will increase the time for the network services to start because the newly installed services want to start first.
M from MySQL comes beore the N of network services.

Follow link below for my sollution to this problem. I have applied this now to all 5 of my HTPC's and each of them have no start-up/boot issues at all.

The NLA service wasn't started automatically ... but the automatic startup of this service don't make any difference, TVServer service won't start due to 30s timeout.

I've also installed MS loopback adapter and configure TV Server to connect DB and MP Client to connect TV Server thru this adapter.

I've reinstalled TVServer with SQL Express (MySQL removed after TVSerer uninstall) and it startup at boot.
