I'm having problem similar to this topic but I don't have an analog TV card, I only use a Hauppauge Nova-T stick (dvb-t).

When I start Mediaportal I end up with a screen that asks for the "IP adress or host name of the master TV service" (see attached screenshot).

I have a feeling that the problem is caused by TVService.exe not starting up correctly. TVService.exe is appearantly not started automatically by Mediaportal and when I start it manually it says something like "The TVService service on Local Computer was started and stopped immediately. Some services stop automatically when idle, for example Performance Logs and Alerts service." (again, see screenshot).

I'm having this problem after updating to MP 1.0.1, MP 1.0 used to work fine.

    Hi,
You don't have the same errors as the other issue so this it's something else.
Attach all logs collected with MediaPortal Logs Collector.

    Regards
