TVService fails to start on boot & crashes in fresh install of 1.0.2. (1 Viewer)

Hi all,

I Can install MP 1.0.2 perfectly and i choose one click install and all goes fine.

The i open MP config and it is also fine after i make my changes.

Next i open TV server config and select my db MySql and enter passwrod and then it connects fine.

Then it crashes with

So I open tvconfig again and it asks to start the service as its not running. So i try to start it manually and notice the below weirdness.

It wont sstart.



I can watch tv through the crap PVR software that came with the card but its not as fun as MP(my previous install was fine).
Also - in MP config my card is not recognised and there is no longer a CaptureCardDefinitions.xml file.

Where do i put my details in now? I searched the forum but alas no fun.

Hopefully this is a easy fix and i am just tired and overlooking something.

You are showing sqlserver as disabled under the services tab , that and sqlbrowser are the 2 services that the tvserver requires to run.

The capturecarddefinitions has nothing to do with tvserver, its for the old internal TV part of mediaportal.

Yes it is disabled as i am using mysql.

That is enabled and running as you can verify at the top of the image.

I actually have uninstalled MS sql but it still shows as installed nd i cant remove it. Hence the mysql - but a db is a db i guess.

Also - the tv config asked for the mysql pwd and i provided it- it was a success. So i hit save to continue.

After that it crashes.

On the TVCard note- how does the new one pickup cards that are not seen by default? What should i edit for my card to be recognised again(currently its not).???

If attaching logs, use the advanced + feature, downloading from outside sources is a pita.
