    Hi all,

I've noticed since I installed MP 1.0.1 (and patched TV libraries) that the TVService service stops responding very often when the computer still running without using it. When then I enter to MP and activate TV it freezes and I have to kill the MP program, then kill the TVService process (stoping from Services does not stop it), and starting again TVService, in order to work again.

When I schedule a recording I have the same problem because TVService does not respond and MP is unable to record the scheduled program.

I thought it would be resoved with the patch prior to 1.0.2 release but not, the problem persists.

In MP 1.0.0 everything worked ok and that particular issue didn't happen.

    Anyone can help please?

    Thanks and best regards, SHack.

I'm seeing similar symptoms. I can post logs when I get home.

    Hi,

I've made a clean install of version 1.0.1 and then I copy TV Libraries from publicated patch, but when TVService is running for a while (30-40 minutes) it doesn't respond. One thing is that I execute SetupTV.exe and nothing happens, but the process is running. When I kill SetupTV.exe without touching any relative to TVService and then I execute again it works!!! When 30 minutes is elapsed again, I have to do the same --> execute SetupTV.exe, it doesnt respond and then kill it and execute again.

The problem is that this occurs when activating TV in MP: MP freezes. The scheduled recording doesn't work neither until TVService is killed and started again.

I think the patch Analog_Fix.zip doesn't work at all.

    Any idea?

    HI all,

I think I solved the problem SetupTV.exe being hanged up.

I uninstalled 6 Windows Update patches installed on my Windows XP SP3 on April the 16th. Everything seems working fine now.

For those with the same problem I write down the patches uninstalled:

    KB952004
    KB956572
    KB923561
    KB959426
    KB960803
    KB961373

I don't know exactly which update causes the problem I had, but... If anyone know can you post it?

    Regards and thank you.

Not solved yet. TVService is still stoping....

Does anyone have the same problem?

It's frustrating to schedule a record and it doens't work. When my computer is on for 30-40 minutes I cannot watch the LiveTV, SetupTV.exe stands on memory and I have to restart manually TVService in order to work.

I don't know what to do. I've installed the system and MP several times but it keeps the same: TVService stops doing what it has to do :(

    Can anyone help, please?

    Hi there

Are your logs above taken from such an event where the service unexpectedly stopped?

Is it perhaps after a Windows sleep/wake-up cycle?

No, there's no sleep, hibernation or anything. You can see the process running, but when i try to timeshift manually or activate TV in MP it doesn't respond and I have to kill MP and TVService.

I don¡t see anything strange in logs.

    Thanks in advance

Yes I have the same problem since I installed 1.0.1.

    • If I put the computer to sleep in the morning when I wake it up in the evening I get the message.

    • If I leave the computer on in the morning I get the message. in the evening.

I Tried to put it a sleep and wake up several time (Within an hour) without problem so it does not seem to be related to Sleep/Wakeup.

I'm trying to solve it compiling SVN code, but i'm still trying to... :)

The service stops after a while, not always the same time. I have my network card connected to a PLC switch and I thought it could be the problem due to the dependency of TVService with RPC, so I bought a WIFI USB Card, but the problem still exists.

So, here I am waiting for an answer or release 1.0.2....

    Thank you
