Hi Forum,

Can someone help me? I know Server 2008 is not supported, but...

I removed the Twinhan card from´my son's PC (he got a reciever for Christmas) and put it in my server. I then installed the driver via the DigiTV Setup, but stoped after the drivers were installed. Then I installed the TVServer Beta 1.1.0. The setup ran fine, but the configuration program did not ask for a server connection, but just started the GUI. No cards were listed. I was able to update the drivers until V. 1.1.1.800. I read at TV-Server/tvcards - MediaPortal Manual Documentation that the version needs to be at least 1.2.3.8, but that version is not signed, and therfore unusable. However, after I reboot with that version, the TVServer setup shows me two cards: IPTV and Radio (I believe), but not the Twinhan (obviously because 2008 R2 doesn't activate it.). Noticeably the TVServer Connection wizard still does not start.

I self signed the sys file at ..\system32\drivers and used "bcdedit.exe /set TESTSIGNING ON". After rebooting, windows did not start. After several minutes, I reset the server and started in safe mode. For fun I started the TVServer configuration, and I got the connection dialog! Unfortunetly the MySQL service (among others) does not run in safe mode, so I could not save the connection.

So my questions are: Am I making a mistake somewhere? Is there a way to use a driver prior to 1.2.3.8? If not, does anyone have signed drivers (or a link)? If all else fails, can someone recomend a good pci-express card that can handle dvb-s2 with Server 2008 R2?

:D for your time and help!
