I just found this card at a really good price. Problem is that it has been a demo card so there are no accessories with it. It's just the card and no remote, manual, etc.

Will this card work with the MCE remote in MP? Or are any of the bundled things absolutely needed.

If you have poor reception this is not a card for you (I have one that has too poor reception on some MUXes to be usable). I also from time to time have problems with card detection...

And if you have poor reception USB dongles are definitely nothing for you. I have tried more than a handful without any success (have 80km to the transmitter).

Well, USB dongles are out of the question anyway cos' I need a card to decrypt the channel feeds. Reason why I'm interested in a tv card in the first place is to record shows. My tv already has an internal DVB-C tuner so channel changing speed isn't my biggest priority.
