Hi firstly; Thanks to all who contribute to MP, I've used it for a while on my laptop and finally got round to building a low budget Media Centre PC (1.6ghz P4, 256ram, 128 ATI Radeon 9200 etc) this month and Media Portal is brilliant! So thanks to all who make MP what it is!

Anyways...

Channel 4 in the UK are to soon offer their online 4OD service for free (at the moment its 99p for catch up tv) i was wondering if any UK developers out there would be able to link a plugin for MP to this service. Some of their content will still be pay per view but there will be a lot of free stuff too. This would be a great benefit to UK MP users giving access to loads of VOD from C4. I believe that soon the BBC and ITV will be offering similar catch up services online and would these be able to be incorporated too?!

Obv i know its not a quick process as we dont even know how it will all work yet but would these plug ins be a possibility?

Ty in anticipation of cool responses!

This plugin already exists for Dutch MP-ers; "Uitzending gemist" (which features channels Nl1, 2 & 3 (equiv of BBC) and even RTL gemist, a commercial (err, it doesnt air commercials, but is available on cable tv, so nog publicly funded...) channel.

I don't know how to build a custom plugin, but it probably isn't difficult. U should contact Moiristo, he build and maintains the dutch plugin.

I think BBC4 would be interesting for dutch (or other, obviously) viewers too, don't they air Fifth Gear??

No that's Channel 5, BBC4 is a strange channel as one moment very "highbrow",documentarys, opera etc the next its showing "Life on Mars" a police show set in 1973.

ps you might have been thinking of "Top Gear" but that's BBC2

Also, just to confuse things for non-UK residents, Channel 4 (Also known as C4) is not the same thing as BBC4 :)

Channel 5 is known as just Five now.

ITV now has ITV1, ITV2, ITV3 and ITV4 on digital TV too.

Just wondering if there has been any update regarding this plug in? Does anyone know if there is one available? Is there one available yet for Sky Anytime ?
