UK title setting ends up with weird USA AKA title result (1 Viewer)

I also noticed that this movie had a strange rename

I have the movie called "Food, Inc" in moving pictures, and the IMDB+ plugin renames it to "POV Food, Inc. episode #23.1"

The Movie is called "Food, Inc" which is the English title, but it has the following AKA
POV Food, Inc. episode #23.1 - USA (anthology series)

Not sure if this is a bug or not, but I thought I would mention it. I have the plugin set to use original title = no (so it renames foreign movies to english titles) and prefer british title. Since this is an English movie, I'm not sure why it doesn't want to use the standard English title, and instead it renames it to something wierd.

Side effect of the technical way IMDb+ works.

Because the country of origin is USA+English, then IMDb+ tries to use the AKA titles to locate a pure UK title. When it fails to find one it will fall back to USA titles, but it does so by picking one from the AKA overview (as it normally shows the display title there anyway). It is because of the "P.O.V. Food, Inc. episode #23.1 USA (anthology series)" entry that it is seen as USA title and therefore ends up getting used as a better UK title since no "UK" title entry exists for AKA.

I'll run some more tests to see what I can do to improve it, because it should have not used the AKA-USA title when the original title was USA+English.

If that fails to result in an easy solution, then I'll either add "anthology" to the blacklist of AKA titles, or simply add "Food, Inc." to the default rename database.

Same reason, via regular expression I look for "USA", and it gets caught up in the "USA (imdb display title) (Spanish title)" part. But I am sure I had 'Spanish' on the blacklist so it should have avoided that.

Quite possibly the UK setting you have enabled is interfering, will have to have another look at it. Each setting adds countless of combinations that are possible and it is getting harder each time to test them all.

I'm a little wrapped up in other work right now and debugging the regular expressions can sometimes be a nightmare when it is reliant on a combination of settings, so you will unfortunatly have to be a little patient with me, and possibly remind me on this issue if I have not fixed it by releasing a new IMDb+ scraper-script by next weekend. I'm currently having post-it notes to remind me to read post-it notes, so easy to slip my mind

I'll be rewriting the entire logic soon. My plan is to add an extra option for UK users to optionally disable (default will be off as well) the existing fallback to USA title when no UK title exists. The original reason that was in was for foreign movies to get a better English title then (the same way it is done for US titles), however it goes horribly wrong for the non-foreign movies, because the advanced US title detection is skipped when you enable UK titles.

So have to figure out a way to save that good US title and use that when all fails and not some crazy alternative USA title from the AKA list.

It's just taking longer then I expected to wrap up all the projects that I need to finish first, so have to be patient and in the meantime use the custom rename list to correct these mistakes for now and keep an eye on forum for updates
