Hope someone can shed some light here, because I'm running out of things to try.

Have been using MP for a while now, lately I have been on RC4 problem free.

Yesterday evening without explanation I couldn't go into TV mode: Please type in your Host/IP.

- I am using 1 media center, and I am not streaming to another PC.
- I have tried clean uninstall, followed by install many times without result.
- I have uninstalled SQL express and deleted the SQL dir in Program Files.
- I have tried MySQL 5, but same result.

What else can I try?

Can someone please look into this?

I can't see how this is possible, I'm on a Singleseat HTPC and I get the same problem if I do a clean uninstall change SQL version, delete the SQL folder prior to install...

How can it suddenly not connect to the Server/Database?
I tried downgrading to RC3 too, but didn't work either.
The TV cards work when I preview in the TV Server Config.

Guys, please help me out here, don't want to have to reinstall Vista..

Did somebody disable the TV plugin? I did that once accidentally. It took quite a while before I discovered that little mistake.

Then again, yesterday, my clients couldn't find my TV Server. I didn't try to fix the problem at the time. Now, today, it is finding the TV Server and I did nothing. However, whenever I select any channel, I'm getting the message "Unable to start timeshifting. No video/audio detected." I can preview the channels on the TV Server with no problem. It's just that the clients are acting wierd.

neognat: thanks for answering. yes I have checked that, unfortunately it wasn't that simple.
I will fill out my specs and attach logs.

Hope someone can help me out here.

Thanks,
Viktor

Update: Problem still presits, even after another format + reinstall.
It can't be a port/firewall problem as was suggested to me earlier, since a remote client can connect to the TVserver but the local one can not.

Please help me, I'm going nuts here

No change using the latest SVN. - New logs.

Would be nice if a dev could start helping me here, sort of one sided communication here...

Have you got a network adapter enabled, but not being used, the connection is just being refused.

The only other thing i can think of is network not starting quickly enough, maybe install the MS Loopback Device and see if that helps.

    Installing Microsoft Loopback Adapter

    * Go to the Add Hardware control panel
    * Click Next on the first wizard screen
    * When asked if the hardware is connected, select Yes and click Next
    * In the list of installed hardware, scroll to the bottom and select Add a new hardware device and click Next
    * Choose the option titled Install the hardware that I manually select from a list (Advanced) and click Next
    * In the list of common hardware types, select Network adapters and click Next
    * In the list of manufacturers, select Microsoft. Then in the list of network adapters, select Microsoft Loopback Adapter and click Next
    * Click Next one more time to install the Microsoft Loopback Adapter and then press Finish

In Device Manager go to Network Adapters\MS Loopback Adapter, select properties and under Advanced\Network Address put 127.0.0.1

    See if that helps.
