If I try to remove TV recordings nothing happens. I press info, select option 2 for delete recordings and it just goes back to showing me my list of recordings.

Mediaportal.log attached shows that it's calling an undefined function.

Inifinity, this actually seems to be a problem because i've copied stuff over from my rc1 installation so this appears to not be a bug.

if you somehow copied over the old tvclient plugin, then this could definitly cause this issue.
i have a clean installation running here.

i also just tested the same on multiseat, deleting works. :)

I had also problems deleting recordings with RC2. Not all the time, but quite regularly. In the server logfile I got:

    __
2008-07-20 13:01:58.406250 [15]: RecordingFileHandler: Error while deleting a recording from disk: Der Prozess kann nicht auf die Datei C:\daten\media\tv\rec\Dein Ex - mein Albtraum - TC Cinema - 2008-07-19.ts zugreifen, da sie von einem anderen Prozess verwendet wird.
    __
means the file is used by another process

When I checked this with processmon, it looks like a process TSVNCache is accessing my recordings. This belongs to an older version of TortoiseSVN, that I do not need currently anyway. I have removed this and since then I did not have the deleting problem anymore.

I do not know whether this is related to RC2, it may be a coincidence that I did not have this before.

infinity, all I copied over from my old rc1 install was everything in documents and settings\all users\application data\team mediaportal\mediaportal and also my plugins from the main mediaportal directory in program files. I'm going to do a clean install on my main htpc and copy stuff back 1 by 1 to find out what caused this error.

    Do you use comskip?

If comskip is processing the recording you cannot delete it until comskip.exe has finished.

    Hi

Was a solution to this problem ever found. I have had the same problem since switching to RC2 which was a clean install.

I dont think the problem is with comskip as I havent got it enabled at the moment (although i have in the past). None of the 8 or so files I have tried will delete. I get the exact same behaviour as in the first post

My problem was copying something over from my old install. A completely clean install solved it for me.
