When RC4 was released, I upgraded the TV card drivers to version 5.0.0.19 and installed MP RC4. Then both TV cards worked fine. Some (unknown) time later it stopped working. Now I've installed MP 1.0 and the problem persists. When I try to tune into a channel on the second card I get this message on the client:

    Unable to start timeshifting
    Unknown error occurred

Scanning for channels on the second card get "No Signal" on all transponders. If I disable the first card, the second works fine, and vice versa.

I've installed WMP 11, all MS hotfixes and the dvbfix (and used ProcessExplorer to verify that the right versions are loaded). The TV server's logs are attached.

    Any help would be appreciated.

I had the same problem with TT 3200 and TT 1501 - no one was able to help me for months. Tried old/different drivers, several SVN's, XP/Vista - nothing helped. Since DVBViewer worked with my two cards I always thought I will be able to get rid of the problem in MediaPortal.
The end of the story: I sold the TT 1501 and bought a TechniSat CableStar HD2 which works fine now. I guess that is not the solution you wanted to hear.

Okay an update here, more testing is needed from my part BUT.
what happends is that i have 2 cards working, however scanning is not working on lnb3 with either of the cards. i'm currently using LNB 1,3,4.
only lnb1 finds anything when i do a channel scan..

The reason it's working for now.... is that i had exports from my previous rc4 installations, where scanning worked fine on both cards.

So it looks like viewing is working but scanning is f¤#%&¤#&%¤#..... i will have to do more debuging, but there it is for now...

At simultaneous usage of 2 cards Technotrend (TT3200+CI+Dre cam and TT1401) there are same errors:

    1) Clean old log
    2) Is started TV-Server
    3) started TV-Server Configuration
    4) Start the channel mapped to TT3200 (Card 2) - 1TVRUS Europe - Is started normally.
    5) Start the channel mapped to TT1401 (Card 1) - RCS Music Channel - Error - "Preview failed - Unknown Error" - Log: Error Start.zip

Though sometimes, I could not reveal dependence, all works normally. - Log: Normal Start.zip

The order of application of cards can be changed, at first TT1401 - start normal, then TT3200 - "Preview failed - Unknown Error".

In any case an error in log -
unable to connect transport information filter
dvb: could not get IBDA_Topology from tuner

The analysis of log files shows that at a normal start view channel mapped to a second card:

    Code:

    2009-03-29 15:24:22.406250 [4]: TechnoTrend card detected[/B]

the construction of graf goes further

    Code:

2009-03-29 15:24:22.406250 [4]: add BDA MPEG2 Transport Information Filter filter

    2009-03-29 15:24:22.531250 [4]: tif connected
    At an error:

    Code:
    [B]2009-03-29 15:33:29.890625 [10]: Check for TechnoTrend[/B]

the construction of graf goes further

In the case of error there is not a line:

    Code:
    Technotrend card detected

That, as far as I understand, what is not executed that verification of card.

    I have 2 Technotrend S2-3200 HDTV-S2 working simultanously
    XP SP3. MP 1.0.

Would not you could to send your hardware configuration, versions of drivers, versions of Ttmediacenter and log's of work of Tvserver at switching from a channel on one map on a channel on other map?

For what it's worth, I have a dedicated MP TV Server (XP Pro SP3) with a Terratec Cinergy 2400i DT DVB-t card and two TT S2-3200 DVB-s cards. One of the TT cards had a CI module with Canal Digitaal CAM. Other than slower switching to encrypted channels, the setup now works fine. However, I have seen occasions where I get the same errors as you ("unable to connect transport information filter" and "dvb: could not get IBDA_Topology from tuner"). The trouble is finding a way to consistently replicate those errors.
