I have recently upgraded to 1.0 RC2 and now I have the following issue:

I am using MP TV Client on different machines. I can still connect to the Server and load all channels. If I doubleclick on one, the Server starts timeshifting and VLC opens but no video window and there is no info on the stream.

For testing purposes I startet the timeshift manually and in VLC "Open/Network Stream" with the address from the TV Server logs...(attached here)

Does someone have a clue how to solve this?

    so you entered

    Code:
    rtsp://192.168.1.3/stream1.0
    as rtsp source in vlc.
    what happened then? :)

this works fine on my system.

    Exactly...

Nothing happens - no error message and no video.

It is really very strange, because even on the same PC I do not get a connection via VLC (I tried different versions of VLC)

I will try with an installation of MediaPortal on the client as soon as I have enough time...

    Works now...

Really strange...could this have been a Codec issue? Because of another problem I switched to ffdshow (the only change I have done to my setup) and now it works.

HDTV crashes VLC, but I remember that this is a known issue.

    Nevertheless thanks for the reply!:D

somehow i doubt that it is/was a codec issue.
but which one did you use before?

    yup, a VLC/RTSP bug :(

    Hello Baldur,
I have the same problem with my recent installation of RC2.
Is your installation of Win XP SP3 recent ? Mine is. It worked before with vista and RC1.

@infinityloop: Before, I used the Cyberlink Decoder - in the meantime the problem changed to the phenomenon that TVServer does not stop when I close VLC...choosing a new channel then brings up the old buffered .ts files

Acteo: I tried on different systems...XP SP2, XP SP3 beta and XP SP3 - no difference in behaviour
