Hi again Ozzie Cheers for the compliment. :) Getting straight to the point: I believe that the problem is in receiving the stream from the server. What I see in the logs is: So I can tell from the first bit (highlighted) that your TV Server successfully tunes the channel. MediaPortal then works out that the stream is an RTSP TV stream available at rtsp://HTPC-PC:554/stream2.0 and attempts to start playing. That's when the problem happens (highlighted). According to the TsReader logs: (Ignore the fact that the URLs are different - that is just because the TsReader logs are for when you tried to play the recording.) Without having any further information I would say that there is a firewall issue. I acknowledge that you've said that you haven't changed any settings. In the interests of solving the problem, could you check a few things: 1. The Windows firewall (and any other firewalls) on your TV Server should be configured to allow MediaPortal/TV Server to use both the public *and* private ports. 2. The Windows firewall (and any other firewalls on your laptop should also be configured to allow MediaPortal to use both the public *and* private ports. If those settings are okay (or if setting them correctly doesn't make any difference), the next thing to do would be to try to view the TV Server streams with other software. VLC is probably the easiest as it is free and doesn't require any configuration. 1. Install the latest version of VLC on the laptop. 2. Start timeshifting on any channel using the "manual control" section in TV Server configuration. 3. Use the TV Server "streaming server" section to figure out the URL to use in VLC. The address will be rtsp://HTPC-PC:554/<text listed in the "stream" column, something like "stream2.0">. 4. Start VLC and attempt to view the stream. Off the top of my head I think you go file -> open URL, enter the address/URL from step 3 and then go play. Let me know how you get on with those two things. mm :)
