Not sure which SVN this started in but certainly with latest SVN I am unable to play some older recordings. These ts files were prevously fine and have watched them before but now they are showing as 0:00 long and when I select them there is a pause and then it just returns as if the recording has finished and watched flag is then set

Looks like it is definately this SVN. Swapped back to tsreader.ax from previous SVN and now able to playfile.

Please upload a sample of such .ts file that doesn't play.

How do I get a sample? I can upload the whole TS file to my hosting site if you want but these are generally films recorded from TV (DVB-T) so are fairly big....

They are only MPEG2 standard TV records so not sure what would make them different to other TV recordings? Anyway let me know if I can split the ts file into a small chunk for you ?

The reason why I'm asking a sample is that you are saying that some of the files play ok. So it means that the "broken" recording msut have something special in it that causes the playback failure.

    Google

Didn't test any of those, but some of those should work :)

Also following FTP site should work. Just upload 250 MB and then close the connection.

hopefully just uploaded a 250MB sample called
    Toy Story 2 - BBC ONE - 2008-12-24.TSSplit.1-14.ts
to that ftp account (my command line ftp skills are a little dusty....)

let me know if the file works for you

When imported it showed as having zero length and would not play. Going back to tsreader.ax from previous SVN allows file to play. I am guessing that re-importing might also sort out length ? (will try tomorrow)

Not that it really makes much difference a re-import with old tsreader.ax in place did not pick up the video length. They play fine with old filter just show as 0:00 in the recordings view

Works on my dev PC with Windows 7 and it's native video codec. The recording itself is completely corrupted:

Just tried to play an old recording from May 2009 and it worked without any problem (including FF, REW and skipsteps forward/backward). May be your recording is corrupted - oh, just saw that tourettes gave you the answer already.
