Just faced another problem, when I click on any of my recorded TV programs, I get the message "Unable to play:xxxx.ts Audio coded:" (Nothing appears after Audio codec?).
First, thank you to all that have done such superb work on creating an alterative to VMC. I have been a Windows Media Center user for four years now. I have an 8 TB RAID 5 system that hosts all my media but VMC is simply not flexible enough to do everything I need. Moreover, MediaPortal ROCKS WITH COOLNESS!
So, back to my MediaPortal problem. Have installed MediaPortal 1.1 Alpha on top of Vista Ultimate 32bit Service Pack 2. I have a network directory loaded with 500+ VMC "RecordedTV" files which I wish to playback on MediaPortal. When I navigate to that folder my icons populate with half a picture and the other half blank white. Next, when I select a file for play I get the same Audio Codec error that the previous poster mentioned...following the error MediaPortal crashes.
Interestingly, if I take the very same file that crashed MediaPortal to a local store (i.e. Flash Drive), it plays great within MediaPortal. Strange behaviour??? Please help!
Thanks!
Oh, I forgot to mention that XBMC has no problem playing my 500+ VMC "RecordedTV" (DVR-MS) files from the network shares.

You need to provide more information in your support request. Please see details below. In particular, details about your codec setup, system specs, and your log files.
I compliment you on the thoroughness of your investigations. (y)
Unfortunately, I don't have any ideas what the problem might be. :(
Perhaps someone else will post with some suggestions.

There is a conflict as you have said between WinTV ad MP TV. MP TV takes over the Hauppauge HVR-1265 card. I may be even getting more channels with it.
The Titan TV worked great until last year. Now it will not run the scheduler. WinTV scheduler will let me program manually but I have to set a program for each day. If I try to set...
