I have a ethernet hard disk and i would like to set it as the recording folder. I can do it using \\disc\folder at the recording configuration. The record start but i does not appear any file at the destination folder.

Any idea.

Thanks.

I also tried to record to a disc on another computer via Ethernet but failed. But i did not investigate it further. So if someone have successfully done this also I would like to know how. I would imagine that there is something with access rights, maybe the tvserver service can’t write to a disk on the network.

Anyway, if someone knows how this could be done it would be greatly appreciated.

Regards / Tomas

The only problem is that TvService is installed to usr the LOCALSYSTEM account by default.
While having nearly admin rights on the local machine it has zero rights on network shares.
So i would suggest setting the TvService to run under a user account (which has access rights to the network share) should do the trick.
