Unable to set up My Tv thru Hauppauge Nova t USB DVB (1 Viewer)

When I run MP setup and attempt to locate the capture card, it makes out no card is found, yet I know my tuner is fine as it still runs thru the normal hauppauge software. I'm running the version without a remote. Any ideas?

just reinstalled and media portal still won't recognise that I have nova t usb plugged in at all, yet the hauppauge software does. This card seems to be supported in the guide. HUMPH.
