Unable to start TV in Mediaportal, singleseat.

From MP error.log, suppose this is the cause somehow.
2008-10-11 20:38:50.843750 [ERROR][MPMain]: OnMessage exception:confused:ystem.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
at TvPlugin.TVHome.OnClicked(Int32 controlId, GUIControl control, ActionType actionType)
at MediaPortal.GUI.Library.GUIWindow.OnMessage(GUIMessage message)

I can preview TV in TVServer.
I can timeshift in TVServer.

I have uninstalled/installed two times with same result.
I have reinstalled with mySQL as database with no difference, reverted back to MSSQL.

I cannot use my system in this release.

Any ideas from anyone?

best regards

i can not reproduce this error on my singleseat system.

to me it looks like a "installation problem" of MediaPortal, caused by old files.

did you try a "clean uninstall" of MediaPortal?

    Hi,

    I did clean installs.

Late last night I had a database corruption somehow and in the troubleshooting I disabled the Windows firewall. After another clean install the TV started to work.

I'll get back with new informations if I find out the cause.

I activated Windows firewall again and the error has not come back. I have no idea why.
