OK tried to install MediaPotal on a single seat setup, installation went fine. Some reason I can't get TV Server service to start. Windows reports that the service is running (Started). But everytime I open TV Server Configuration, it states "TV Server is not running. Start it now?" I click yes, then get a "TvService not Started" error. TV Server Configuration opens but if I click on anything in that screen, I will keep getting the error "TVService not Started". I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but no change. Tried stopping the TV Server Service manually and restarting....nothing. Tried uninstalling my Tuner cards...... nothing. Also tried editing the Hosts file, but i'm on XP and don't have Windows Defender. I have attached my logs in case someone would like to take a stab at it.

Thanks in advance,

Aud

What is also weird is the tv logs states that it is detecting a Skystar 2 card. I don't even have that card. I actually don't have any tuners installed at this point. Noticed my computer will not got into standby unless I kill the TV Server process in task manager. Anybody know what those power event threads mean in the tv logs?

Uninstall TVServer, when it ask's you how to uninstall, select the remove database as well, reboot and try reinstalling now with a clean db.

Think the other bit relates to shared drivers between the 2 cards

Thanks Paranoid, but it didn't work. I actually tried uninstalling TV Server and SQL and rebooted. This time I did the install using MySQL and still get the same error. TV logs seems that it still detects Skystar 2 card multiple times before crashing. I don't even have a Tuner card installed. I'm going to try to update to latest SVN and see what happens.....

OKay I managed to get the TV Server Configuration up with no errors this time. I installed latest SVN and I guess it's fixed. Unfortunately, I still have problems with TV Server trying to detect my tuner cards. I will open a new thread on that though.
