Hi,
I have cofigured MP not to use animations in the Home Plugin but the zoom out and zoom in is still there (I do not know what to call it.. :)).

In the log it says the following:
2010-03-09 11:35:21.671875 [Info.][MPMain(1)]: GraphicContext: MP will render at 50 FPS, use animations = True

Is the a configuration that I have missed or is it a bug.

best regards
Melstig

Since you are concerned that you might have missed a configuration setting, could you tell us exactly where you think you have set it not to use animations?

    Hi,
In previous versions there was configuration under General i think, one could turn off both GUI sound effects and GUI animations. Now the configuration sections has changed for these two choices.

I have turned off sound effects under General -> Skin. Result: Sound effects is removed.
I have turned off animations in the Home Plugin under Plugins -> Home - Configuration. Result: Nothing changes that I can see.

The problem for me is that when going to TV from Basic Home, the menu items are "zoomed out" and the MP blue background is viewed for quite a few seconds before TV starts. Before, the TV-section came up directly without the zooming of the menu.

Should not this configuratin changes work as before? Where can I configure MP so the log states "use animations = False" otherwise?

    best regards

If I remember correctly the option for disabling GUI animations has been removed on purpose. There were some bigger issues in the skinning engine and we don't have anyone to fix those.
