Hi all,
I have 2 x Dell PC's running MediaPortal and both have the same problem. All works perfectly except when playing DivX/Xvid movies where I experience a constant 2-3 sec stutter every 4-5 mins followed by a wav sound that I assume must be being produced by MediaPortal. I'm playing the movies via a wireless home network from a third PC downstairs which is the "master" PC.....however, movies play back flawlessly (using the same wireless setup) when played with all other movie players including Windows Media Player, Media Player Classic, VLC etc.

I've tried changing video/audio renderers and codecs and tried changing various other playback settings - with no results. I even used Media Player Classic as an external player for ages but I'd really prefer to use MediaPortal as completely integrated HTPC software, especially now that I have a Harmony 785 remote whereby I can remotely control MediaPortal perfectly. I've researched this forum and whilst I've found a number of threads relating to a similar issue, none of the solutions have worked for me.

Both of the Dell PC's are almost identical in setup except for the video card....one of the Dell's is simply using the onboard Intel video which also plays all movies perfectly with the players listed above.

Can anybody help!!!??? This is driving me insane. I LOVE MediaPortal but have started to look at other software (inferior, I believe) like Meedio just to try and use something where all key modules will actually work.

Cheers
Gary
