Hi,
I had this error since I upgraded to version 1. After MP starts and I get the main screen within a 10 seconds I get a unhandled exception error. "The number of returned rows 0 did not match the expected count of 1.". See screenshot and text file for the exact error message.

Anyone had this before and/or can help?

I am guessing that a database table is the problem after importing the old contents?

Regards,
Malcolm.

This happened to me today as well. no idea why. It also happens on the client machine.

I did rescan my TV channels the same morning, don't know if this may have corrupted a database or something.

Reinstall?

Hello,

MANUAL workaround.

- Export your channels from tvserver config.
- stop tv service
- stop mySQL.
- create a copy of db dir under MySQL/ data dir
- Delete original dir
- start MySQL
- start tvserver config - it will start tvservice again and will create empty db
- import your channels
- reconfigure other dir's and plugins (and radio groups / don't know why they are not imported back)

That's it - at least helped for me.

Thanks

stupid question

Where is the location of the SQL directory you mention?

Having trouble finding it and do not want to get it wrong.

Fixed!

exported channel list

uninstalled tv server and database

uninstalled MS sql

reinstalled tv server, which also reinstalls MS sql

imported channel list, and imported old recorded Tv files.

Works fine and only took 10-15 minutes

Hi,

Could do the same without reinstalling DB :)
DB location depends on which db you use. MySQL database is lacated under:
C:/Program Files/Microsoft SQL/data there is seperate dir for each db.

Cheers,

Worked for me. I had MS SQL, and so followed the did the uninstall instructions. Just go to get MediaPortal back to the client and TV Server on one machine configuration now.

Thanks for the instructions people!
