Please help me. I have been happily watching TV through Mediaportal. After several crashes this afternoon, I now get 'Unknown Error" when trying to watch any channel (DVB or through my STB). When I go into TV Server Configuration and choose 'Preview', I get "Preview Failed:UNknown Error". My EPG is empty and XMLTV appears to be stuck on "tvguide.xml already importing", with 0 channels and 0 programs imported. Not sure if these errors are linked.

    Logs attached.

It seems a db corruption problem. Try to delete it and rescan.

Hi, could you point me to those threads which help you repair the MySQL DB.

I'm using Win 7 with MySQL and get this "Unknown Error" fairly regularly when I go to TV

    Try

    https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/mediaportal-1-1-0-rc-3-6-519/randomly-crash-tvservice-exe-84051/

    OR

    https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/general-support-51/database-corrupted-possible-repair-71699/

As I couldn't seem to find any SQL Management Software to help, I went through the following steps (i use MySQL):

    1. Open a Command Prompt
    2. CD C:\Program Files\MySQL\MySQL Server 5.1\bin
    3. mysqlcheck mptvdb --auto-repair -u root -p

    when asked password = "MediaPortal"

This fixed the database and for me it did not delete any data.

    Good luck.
