I'm trying to install 0.2.0.0 Release over RC4, but the installer is saying I already have a newer version installed. Splash Screen still says its RC4. Do I have to uninstall MP before I can install the new Release?

If that is the way to install the latest version, how do I save my configuration and settings. For example, do I lose and have to re-establish WebEPG, retune channels etc, or are there key files to back up and reinstall after the full installation.

    Hi,
When removing MP from add or reomve in Windows Control Panel, it will not delete your settings or the MP folder.

But it is IMHO better to remove the old version, delete the MP folder, install new version & run configuration from fresh.

Does that include the database/s for music, videos etc? I'd rather not re-import all my files; MP is just way to slow and in the case of movies gets at least 25% wrong if left to it's own devices. Can we backup the databases for those and if so how?

you just need to back up the database file for each type. They are in the database folder and are db3 files. It's pretty self explanatory what each one is.
Be aware that if there are any changes to the database schema then this will not work.
