When I run the MP configuration and I do a scan to update the Database, the MP configuration crashes after a few minutes of scanning. It never crashes on the same movie twice. I just upgraded from 1.0.2 and didn't not have this problem in the previous version.

Log Files are attached. I see System.OutOfMemoryException error's and dont know if that's what is causing it to crash, and if so why did it not do it in 1.0.2

Thanks.

    Hi,
Most likely a bad image or something since a out of memory it's thrown, so check thw folder "Adding file:D:\BluRay\Daredevil.mkv" & the one below that if it doesn't help.

    Regards

Thanks for the response. This happens regardless of which of my drives I choose or what image it's on. It can be almost immediate and sometimes takes a few minutes, it's not consistant with when it crashes.

    Hi,
If it's not on a specific place but after x GB read then you actually run out of memory, not easy to know which is causing since no errors about memory it's written to windows error.
I don't have very large files which could trigger it, but do you see in Task Manager that MP grows in memory use?

    Regards

It can be after reading only one file, or it can be after readying 20. The thing I dont understand, is in any previous version i have never had this problem.

Oh, and one thing that is consistant is that MTN.EXE consumes a crapload of memory/cpu while this is going on, which is the movie thumbnailer application. I dont know if this is normal or not.

I have got the same problem with version 1.1.0 RC2, which I installed last weekend. Configuration keeps crashing when updating the Movie Database. Windows message is that the system is out of memory.

Can I do something to prevent this? Or what information do I need to give so you guys know what goes wrong?

    Thnx!

Re : Update Video Database Crashes MP Config

I found that scanning video database increase memory used, until max then, crash or freeze config.
