First of all Hi Everyone, Ive not been on here in a long time.

Ive just had Sky-HD Installed today and it has required a re-think on my current setup (gives me a good excuse to buy new parts) :D

My current system is a Intel Core 2 Duo with 4GB Ram, Windows 7 64bit with a PVR150 MCE Kit Connected to a normal SD sky box. Ive done some thinking and a lot of reading and this is what I have come up with

The main problem I had in the past with sky + Media portal was getting the EPG setup. I think I have found a way around this now thanks to you guys (and Ladies). The new equipment I have looked at getting is as follows:

Hauppauge HD-PVR
Hauppauge DVB-S Card - Cheap as Possible
HDCP Compatible HDMI > Componant Converter (New Sky-HD Box's Dont come with componant outputs only HDMI)

Im hoping with the above setup I will be able to use the DVB-S to 1. View Un-Encryped Channels and More important 2. Use the EPG that is grabbed Over-Air to Populate the EPG in media portal for both devices and use the DVB-S in "EPG Mode only" for the encrypted sky channels. The HD-PVR will be connected using the converter to the output on the Skybox (this may need splitting) thus allowing me to view and record SD and HD Content from the Sky-HD Box. I intend reusing the existing MCE Remote and Transciever to blast the signal to the Sky-HD Box.

1. How does this setup sound, Will this work how I want to?
2. will I have any problems getting the MCE Kit Blaster to work with media portal and the sky-HD Box?

And Advice and help would be great

Thanks in advance

Mark
