I am running RC2 on a older Dell Optiplex 280SX machine (Very compact, no Internal Expansion) For the most part it runs very well, but I seem to have to hack a lot of the newer plugins (or get older ones) to work with this version. Since the video card is built in and an older Intel Chipset that does not support Directx 9, the newer versions of Mediaportal simply give me a error on startup. If I close the error, the application continues to load and function fine. The problem is that I can only see the error if I start in Windowed mode, full screen it is hidden. Is there any way to get the new verision to ignore the fact that I don't have a recommended video card and just keep going? I really don't understand why I would need a high end (newer card) to just flip though some nice menu's on the screen to browse my files. All the decoding is done with codecs which work fine on this card.
