USB Support (1 Viewer)

I am not finding anything, but does anyone know if there is a plugin available to give MP similar functionality it has currently with CDs/DVDs to USB. I'll explain.

If I put a DVD into my MP, it (MP) looks at the DVD to see if it is a movie or a DVD with files. (I keep my TV shows on DVDs with AVI files.) I can click the OK key, and MP will show me a list of the movies on the DVD that I can play. It would be very nice if one could plug in a USB flash drive (or external HD) and have MP kind of do the same thing.

Does anyone know if this functionality exists?

I doubt that Windows will support it. As far as I know, Windows does not support autorun from a USB drive. It does support the autorun.inf file, but does not automatically use the called program... So a plugin might be capable of polling USB drives and then autorun/play the content but I doubt it...

Well windows detects the USB drive and checks the files. If it is mostly images for example it will ask to run image importer software like adobe elements for example.

The same goes for memory cards as well as CD/DVDs

I would love to see more functionality for this within MP.
Insert a USB stick or memory card with music or images and MP detects what the files are and the correct module is run.
