Not sure if this post is a question or a suggestion...

I have just migrated from WMC to MP. Pretty happy about the change!!!
Anyway, when browsing a long list of artists in WMC, it was quite useful to use the CH +/- buttons in the remote to browse faster by moving to the prev/ next page. In other words, doing Page Up/Dn...

Is that possible to config in StreamedMP?

Thanks

pj

You really ought to be asking in the music support forum...
    Listen Music - MediaPortal Forum

These things are common across all skins.

If your artists are sorted alphabetically then you can jump with the numeric buttons on the remote. 1 will jump to A (press twice for B) etc just like a phone SMS keypad.

You can also map remote buttons specific to different screens if this is not what you want to do. (or you could add the index pages back ;))

sorry, you are right, this is not the right place for this post... sorry

The page up/down is useful when you dont know what you are going to play.

    cheers

    Hi,

i managed to skip pages in music view by remapping the remote. However, i lose functionality in the TV service

    My understanding is that:
in music view: page up/down in the keyboard will skip one page at the time
    F7/F8 do nothing

watching TV view: F7/F8 will change one channel down/up

So, it does not seem possible to me to mapped ch +/- in the remote to:
    - skip pages up/down in music view ( page up/down)
    - change TV channels ( F7/F8)

    Am I missing something?

    Cheers

There are several ways to setup an iMon remote so not sure which way you are going.

    Where are you setting this??

If you are setting this within MP you can set a condition (for music add conditions for "music genres" and "music files") and have different mappings in these screens to others

Depends on how and where you are configuring the remote though

oh, I see. I didnt know that those screens were possible to configure

I am using the imon software manager to map the remote and the shorcuter plugin, but of course you cannot have that level of configuration

The pic you attached corresponds to a Microsoft MCE, and the imon is not a microsoft remote. Can still be possible to set those condtions for the imon remote?

All the remote screens have the same options.
iMon can configured in many different ways.

The options shown are also available for keyboards so you can set the iMon software to send keyboard controls and then control what the keyboard buttons do in the keyboard settings

    the documentation says

"MediaPortal supports the following remotes 'out of hte box'

    MCE Remote
General HID Device (Multimedia hotkeys on Keyboards) - also some generic MCE Remotes
    Sceneo
    FireDTV/FloppyDTV Remotes
    X10 Remotes
    Hauppauge 45/34-Button Remotes
    IRTRans
    DirectInput (Joysticks/Gamepads)
    USBUIRT Device
    SerialUIR Device
    WINLIRC Device
    RedEye Device
    "

The imon is not listed there. Is the General HID Device the one for the imon?

    thanks
