Using mediaportal with DVcio HDTV Dual (1 Viewer)

I gave M.P. a try after getting the run-around with MCE and it is working FANTASTIC! Great job guys/gals.
I am new to media portal, so I don't know much about its past.
The dual digital card works excellently so far and its second tuner records as well!

If anyone is interrested, I can put some info on how I got it to work.

I have tried many decoders and to my mind, the best so far is the WINDVD7 decoder.
I have tried...
WINDVD7
PureVideo7
Nero7
The ZULU decoder that comes with the DVcio card
and one from intervision

There is only one thing, and I think that it is because decoders aren't good enough yet.
The problem is that live sport like the football and the like is not quite 'fluid' like with a CRT monitor ( I have a 8ms delay sony LCD).
I am sure that my old set-top box gave me perfect pictures like the old analog TV.
ANY ideas?

It was a while ago, so please take this with a grain of salt...

Have a look at your decoder settings, I think I found the same issue with some scaler/filter options. This was in the days before the decoders were included in MP configuration, so it should be easier for you to test this now. Of course I found this issue more with the nvidia decoder rather than the others....

Different hardware configurations also effect codec output, like you tried all codecs, but the crispest/sharp picture i get is from the Nvidia Purevideo.
As far as watching Sport, no motion problems there.
Every little difference between hardware can and does make a difference.

So always experiment to get what makes you happy.

Are there any particular settings that you use for de-interlace?

I saw that you are using MP vers 2.0.0.4.
Is that actually 2.0.0.0 RC4?
If it is should I try using it, as I am using the latest version?
