Hi,

I'm trying to add Portuguese frequencies to the dvbt.xml file but I'm not getting any channels.

Here's an example of a channel provided by my cable operator:

Channel Position: 1
Channel Name: RTP1
TV Standard: PAL BG
FREQ (MHZ): 196,25

Having this I've added an entry in dvbt.xml like this but I'm not sure if it is correct or if I have to include something else:

<country name="Portugal">
<carrier frequency="196250" />
</country>

Do I need to do anything else? Is this correct?:confused:
:D

    The file dvbt.xml is for DVB-T frequencies, i.e terrestial transmitted digital TV.

    I think there is another file for DVB-C(digital cable) frequencies, search the forums.

    Cheers,
    Martin

    If i manually add the channels in Configuration/TvChannels and then add those channels to my tv card do I need the xml file?

    For the RTP1 channel I have this configuration in the Analog Tv Settings tab:

    Frequency: 196,250
    TV Standard: Pal B
    Country: Portugal

    When i try to watch the channel in MediaPortal i get the error "Failed to start TV. No tuning information for RTP1".

    Anyone know what is the problem? I have an Asus Wifi-tv digital card.

    Boas.
