Ok, yes, I have Visual C++ studio, but I just don't know how to program the folowing plugin:
I have an external program for watching TV on my PC, so I'm wondering if it's possible to:
1. Remove the "TV- box" in MP, the one you watch TV in
2. Replaceing the "Turn on TV" function so that it runs a program of your choise (Thus adding support for a lot of TV- cards)

It would be wonderful if someone could make this! Also let me know if this is too difficult to make!
Thank you in advance
/Ken

    Hello!
Yes, i think, thats the right way to replace the Tv-engine by an external program like DVBViewer or ProgDVB: Support of Cam's, HDTV and a lot DVB-Cards!

At the moment i use GBPVR as HTPC Software.

Here is a plugin caled "External Recorder Plugin"
This Plugin can be handle some exe or batch files with parameters

    I have made an screenshot.

This was a great thing to use in MediaPortal.
For scheduled records i must say in MediaPortal a time and in an external software (ProgDVB) i must set also the Time, but if the scheduled time is stored in a file, it can be made an little convert program to grab the record times from MediaPortal and save it to an file of the other software.

I have an USB DVB-S Box (OPERA, German Company: Siemssen , NOT Siemens :)
I wrote an little program to grab the record times from GBPVR database and save it to the file from this software.
I let start my program to grab and write the scheduled files, then External Recorder Plugin will start the Recording Software....

    Hi
ths should be easy be done with multishortcutsplugin:

with this you can start a programm of your choice, name the Pluginn something like" tv extern", deaktivate (if its possible) the internal tv and every time you select tv extern its starting the programm you wish.
