Ok installed 1.0 the other day, and get it working fine with ISO files then, maybe, a day or two later you release 1.0.1 so i update to that and now i find i can not play the ISO files.

MP can see them but when i double click/press OK nothing happens.
Codecs and things i have no idea about and less idea about where they should be put (unless they find there way there when downloading).

If you can give me some guidelines as i am stumped as to why I cant get it working when i could with 1.0

Oh i did do a uninstal as i got so hacked off and then reinstalled 1.01 fresh.

thanks in advance.

i media portal coniguration advanced mode, make sure you have added the .iso extension in the videos tab. upon re-installing, you might have lost this setting.

check anyway. i had the problem once that the iso extension was missing. i could still see the iso-files in moving pictures for example, but i couldn't play them or add new iso's.

also make sure that the settings for daemon tools are correct. use the same virtual drive as daemon tools does

it is added.

Very confused now. the Deamon that was linked on the "home" page is no longer available as a free download.

If i understand it correctly, even if using VLC media player as the preferred player, a deamon is needed?

this is doing my head in. Why did i "upgrade" to 1.0.1!

Bolier, cheers for the link. I now have it working ish after having got rid of some crap attached to the deamon download. one or two tweeks just need sorting and i may have a working set up.
