I'v been having a re-occuring problem when changing to some channels, in that MP just freezes.

I've found one potential issue since posting a bug report, that could be the issue - but my bug report is getting pushed down...

All my channels are showing Display Resolution 1360x768.

Most channels are also saying the Video Resolution is 720x576 however, the channels with trouble are saying the Video Resolution is 1440 X 1080. Switching from one of the higher resolution channels immediately to a higher res channel works. And weirdly, ABC 24 which has a vid res of 1280x720, will also allow channel changing to the higher res channels.

But switching from a 720 to a 1440 channel just freezes/locks up.

Do the 1440 channels automatically broadcast at 1440, and likewise for the 720 channels? Can I do anything to equalize the resolution?

Appreciate your thoughts.

    Hi there

1360x768 is the resolution of your monitor/TV. The other resolutions are the resolutions of the channels, as encoded by the channel providers (ABC, SBS, 10 etc.). You can't "equalise" them. I suspect your preferred TV video codec/s can't handle 1440x1080i. Either that or you have hardware issues (although your PC specs look okay).

    1. Make sure your video card drivers are up to date.
    2. Try different video codecs.

If you still have trouble then vou need to tell us what codecs you're using and whether the channels with problems are h.264 ("MPEG 4") or MPEG 2...
