Video and TV stops after switching to/from fullscreen (1 Viewer)

I tried mediaportal 1.0.2 and 1.1.0 RC1, and with both versions playback stops when switching to or from fullscreen, so I assume this is by design.

Although I might not be the first to ask, but why is this, and is it possible to restart playback after the resize, or not stop at all, or are there some major technical issues why this can't be done?

Other players work well.(f.i. mplayerc does not even stop, it just keep playing during and after the switch to fullscreen)

You are correct...it is by design because for some reason there is some technical issue that causes MediaPortal to crash with resize...

Too bad, I switch it quite often, for example to lookup some extra facts about movies I'm watching, or to reply to someone over msn... and lots of other uses

The interesting thing is that this resizing issue did not happen with all the users, but the complaints were so many that this design was implemented. My main system for example had no problem resizing with video or tv playing, but my other client-pc would freeze and crash.
