Just a question last night I installed the Catalyst ATI drivers 7.1 to fix an issue I was having with my lcd from switching back and forth from HDMI to Component.

I am now having an issue with Media Portal, it is locking up all the time. The display just locks up but i can still hear the sounds when i am using the arrow keys. The rest of the computer seems to be working fine its just MP.

Has anyone else ran into this issue with the ATI Drivers. It might just a setting but I have even tried reinstalling MP just to see if that was it. Its still doing the same thing. THanks so much in advance you guys have been a huge help.

Seems to be lots of issues with the ATI drivers, the conclusion seems to be 7.2 for Mediaportal at this moment (latest 7.10)

so does that mean that I should just hold off for 7.2 and stop using media portal? or is there a fix for the time being?

Do not ask it's listed as 7.2 but really 7.02 whoops, should have said that in the first place, as was not clear to me at start.

ok I am not sure if I am understanding. HAHA sorry but i have been messing with this all day.

So you are running 7.02 driver from the ati website? or are you running 7.2 ati driver.

I thought that 7.1 was the most recent? has there been a fix since then?
